Some Old and New Shit and the Future...

So a lot had happen since I decided to update this shitty attempt at a blog. We have gotten more lazy, maybe not, but more busy on other things. Before all that, we were able to crank some sweet jams for David Russell, who sweetly pressed it as part of the Cleveland VS Chicago series his label a soundesign released during the last 6 months. Here's how Mr. Russell describes this C20.
"The fifth tape in the ASR "versus" series pairs Chicago dance noise duo Piss Piss Piss Moan Moan Moan with Kent, Ohio zoned jammer Jeff Host. On the A side PPPMMM assault with fuzzed out beats, electronics and theremin cues like a chemical burn to the senses. Side B finds Host cooking up a brutal slow burn with processsed guitar. These two make for the perfect pairing, bon appetite! >> White tapes with blue and red spraypaint stencil, color copy insert on transparency."

If you come across a copy snag it cause I'm all out of this one. An MP3 version is here.

While my partner in crime is studying lots of science stuff, I kept myself busy putting together a new scummy noise punk band called running. Trolling around the net I found the music on a blog called AudibleLawsuits, and strongly recommend you to visit them, dl it and/or snag a copy from us at one of our gigs.

"Debut self-released cassette from Chicago newcomers Running featuring memebers of local acts Parsley Flakes and Piss Piss Piss Moan Moan Moan. Six blown out punk/bum-out jams that hint at a lot of whats currently going in the bum-out scene i.e. Slices, Fresh Meat, Drunkdriver Etc."

Here's the link to the Audible Lawsuits blog entry.

New shit is coming out soon....

piss piss piss moan moan moan - distrophic tropics CDR

Piss Piss Piss Moan Moan Moan
Distrophic Tropics CDR

Just for the curious I decided to post a one off studio recording that makes our unit sound crisp and crystalline. Can noise be that lean?

I am a sucker for lo-fi in-your-face noise thus the disclaimer above doesnt mean we went soft on you or any shit like that. just means that we had access to a studio and production for FREE!

Recorded in Mayaguez Puerto Rico by Luis F. and T. Galaxia 72

1. Pandemic Zen
2. AIDS not WAR
3. Paragon Path
4. PPPMMM blooze

OnO rules!

Piss Piss Piss Moan Moan Moan had the hOnOrs of collaborating with OnO, Chicago's no wave/experimental/art-noise group circa 1980, at the November 21 2008 Million Tongues Festival at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. It was awesome to do this and play along luminaries as Terry Reid (guy who opened the Rolling Stones infamous Altamont concert, weird) and Mark Fry among others lysergic icons. We went as Piss Piss Piss OnO OnO OnO!

OnO (pictured above) started during the 80s by Travis, P. Michael and Ric Graham. As one of Al's Jourgensen (of Ministry fame) early bands he was involved with, Special Affect, dissolved Joe Carducci had invited him to release some of their music on their STT distributed label Thermidor - home to bands like SPK and Birthday Party domestically. Al reccomended the music from OnO thus producing their first record "Machines that Kill". A second record came out called "Ennui" and hopefully, since Carducci passed the music rights back to OnO not too long ago, they should be able to rerelease this piece of midwestern No Wave history soon.

Now get your fix here as P. has posted some of their early gigs here:

Video of performance coming soon!
